Did you know that Paradise’s Johnny Appleseed Days is California’s longest continuously running harvest festival? Over the years, the focus shifted from its original country fair-like atmosphere as Paradise grew from a farming community to more of a small town. But people are still growing things all over the Ridge! And that bounty will be showcased at the PARADISE PUMPKIN PATCH corner of Johnny Appleseed Days on the lawn in front of Paradise Lutheran Church, October 1st from 10 am to 5 pm and October 2nd from 10 am to 4 pm.

Ridge residents are invited to bring their finest fruits, veggies, and flowers to display for all to admire. You can also buy from our farmers’ market, bring seeds to swap and take home for free, maybe even take home a prize. You’ll be able to listen to some harvest-themed entertainment on the PUMPKIN PATCH stage, take pictures with the cornstalks and hay bales, and join the Great Pumpkin Races! Plus you can contribute natural items such as fruits, veggies, acorns, autumn leaves, and pinecones to a giant interactive “Cornucopia Mandala” that will grow continuously over the weekend.

Come join the fun and “show what you grow”!!
